My Unique B&B, a 15 part series on BBC Two

I’ve had the pleasure of being part of a TV series called ‘My Unique B&B’ by Plimsoll Production as an Interior Designer, working with an amazing team of people together with host Simon Parfett transforming unique spaces into ultimate getaways.

Series 1: 5. Vicki and Bryan’s Geodome

Simon and his team are in the stunning Somerset levels, working with Vicki and Bryan. The couple dreams of spending less time at work and more time with their young family by turning a corner of their field into a unique B&B. They have a space-age geodome but no idea of how to transform it into a welcoming rental.

Simon and his team are full of ideas, including a large wooden statement bed and set of bunks, as well as a botanical theme to bring warmth and colour to the large space. It’s a big and physically challenging job, but with help from friends and family, the team pull off an extraordinary transformation.

Series 1: 10. Tammy and Colin’s Horsebox

In the Cotswolds, unique spaces expert Simon Parfett and his team meet Tammy and Colin. Wanting to spend more time together as a family and create extra income, they decided to buy a horsebox that they could rent out to festival-goers. But instead of being a doer-upper, the horsebox has turned out to be more of a start-again-er.

Simon and the team need to pull out all the stops to turn this old nag into a winner. Thankfully, Tammy and Colin have brought in friends and family to help with the epic tasks of creating a sleeping space for six, fitting a kitchen and giving the whole interior a total revamp.

Series 1: 11. Anthony and Bianca’s Shed to Shepherd’s Hut

The team travel to Wiltshire to meet Anthony and Bianca, who have grand plans to turn the shed at the bottom of their garden into a unique B&B. But those hopes are dashed when expert Simon Parfett, says it’s just too old and rickety to renovate.

The couple decides to take the plunge, ripping down the old shed and replacing it with a shepherd’s hut. Simon and his team return to help transform the blank canvas into a unique and luxurious getaway with its own hot tub.

Series 1: 13. Claire's Pop Up Tent

Simon and the team are in an area of outstanding natural beauty, the Blackdown Hills, to help theatrical prop maker Clare with a truly unique project. Her 1960s trailer tent has been sitting in the garage for years, and she has big plans to turn it into some funky, festival-themed accommodation for guests.

The team pitch in to restore it to its former glory, with Simon going foraging and finding a discarded metal cart wheel that he uses to create a one-of-a-kind shower under the stars.
